  Since 1997 Discovery Child Care Center located in Cranford, NJ has provided the very best in academic child care for families throughout the New Jersey area. .  Our center provides safe, fun, and affordable child care options for children ages 2.5 months through kindergarten with an emphasis on developing your child’s physical, social, emotional and cognitive well-being.  The center uses a locked security system for parent’s peace of mind as well as Tadpoles Communication System to keep you in the loop of your child’s daily activities.  Discovery Inc.’s unique center also includes a 10,000 square ft. Gymnastics Center as well as a Grade School Aftercare program to help the working parent manage their busy schedules. 

   Our philosophy is to maximize each child's development to his or her potential, in all areas of growth and learning.  We believe young children learn through play and exploration.  At the Discovery Child Care Center, we encourage children to explore and investigate at their own pace. Our curriculum promotes a well-rounded, enriching experience, providing opportunities for growth through various educational materials, within a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. In addition, DCC strives to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere; to prepare each child with the skills necessary to make sense of the world; and to foster opportunities for children to grow as individuals and experience feelings of self-worth.

     Each classroom is led by professionally licensed staff members and assistants with many years of experience creating a positive atmosphere for your child to be academically and physically challenged.  Sal Ridente is and has been the owner of Discovery INC., for the past 35 years. His academic and professional background includes being licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as an Education Specialist (Ed.S). In addition he has worked with children, adolescents and adults in a mental health capacity suffering from anxiety, depression and social discomfort. His goal and mission is to educate young preschoolers through academics, play and self-confidence by offering a learning environment that  challenges your child.  In addition, he prides himself on educating his staff with the latest educational strategies to keep students motivated to learn.  Our center is licensed by the state of New Jersey’s Division of Youth and Family Services with additional certification in CPR and First Aid.

     Our programs, in accordance with the State of New Jersey, provide individual and group learning experiences. Curriculum features include language development, math readiness, reading skills, science activities, arts and crafts, music appreciation, imaginative play, and recreational games. To further enrich our curriculum, we offer gymnastics instruction, dance, and drama on the premises.
